Volunteer Position Description – Swimming Program Leader
Position Aim: The Swimming Program Leader provides support by overseeing activities and managing volunteers and athletes during KEEN Swim programs
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Coordinators must be able to communicate effectively with volunteers, staff members and clients - both parents and athletes.
- Disseminating information for upcoming events to both volunteers and athletes' care givers.
- Keep detailed records of volunteers’ and athletes' attendance. Provide monthly updates to Program Managers of attendance for grant reporting purposes.
- Conduct new volunteer orientation. Ensure the purpose of the organization and its actions is clearly communicated during new volunteer orientation
- Bring equipment and supplies from storage to venue day of the event and sets it up on deck.
- Ensure volunteer and athlete safety is maintained at all times. File incident reports if necessary.
- Provide guided activities to volunteers and athletes for 15 minutes in accordance with JPMF grant including Tug of War, Red Light/Green Light, and Hokey Pokey.
Requested Time Commitment:
Time commitment depends on program location
1-4 hrs/ 1 or 2 times a month
