Volunteer Position Description: Fit Program Leader
Position Aim: The Fit Program Leader provides support by overseeing activities and managing volunteers and athletes during KEEN Fit programs.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- One week before: Send a reminder email to KEEN Young Adult Fit and KEEN Family Fit athletes/families and the list of former coaches reminding them of the upcoming session.
- Check the KEEN call out line before the session.
- Bring athlete profiles and other KEEN materials to program.
- Greet coaches and lead orientation those who have not volunteered with KEEN Fit. Provide a full orientation if they have not been to any KEEN program.
- Pair up coaches and athletes.
- Direct coaches and athletes to begin with cardio (bikes, treadmills, ellipticals, etc.) and then have each pair move to weights and machines.
- Start additional activities when planned – yoga classes or other group classes.
- Pursue group activities in the studio when there are not enough coaches.
- At the end of the session say goodbye to athletes and coaches.
- Greet the KEEN Family Fit families and help them work through the gym.
Requested Time Commitment:
2.5 hours once a month on selected weekends
