Special Events Manager

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.  
  • 5+ years of experience with nonprofit fundraising and event management
  • Superior organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Working knowledge of development software such as Bloomerang and Qgiv or other CRM databases
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • The ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to work independently on collaborative efforts                     
  • Excellent follow-up skills

              
 
Job Duties included, but are not limited to:
Fundraising Special Events and Auctions;
Familiar with organizing Golf tournaments and dinner gala events
 

  • Assist in managing auctions and other fundraising events
  • Work with outside vendors to secure contracts for items such as facility rental, printing, design, and audio visual aids
  • Create all mail merges for invitations, letters
  • Produce and mail solicitation letters
  • Attend all auction committee meetings and compile all materials for committee
  • Manage all data entry into auction database
  • Manage auction items: storage, delivery, and set-up
  • Research and assisting committee with the auction item donations
  • Work closely with development team on design and production of program book
  • Manage collection of program book ads and information from sponsors and advertisers, making all staff, committee members, sponsors and advertisers aware of and enforcing print deadline
  • Co-manage auctions at events, including the set up of auction displays, bid sheets
  • Certificates and overseeing the auction check-out
  • Assist in processing of invoices, credit card charges and collection of outstanding balances
  • Coordinate delivery of items as needed
  • Research and coordinate amenity item donations
  • Assist with on-site check-in and check-out during events, ensuring smooth guest experience and efficient processes.

 
General Development:
Research and data analysis of donor profiles and regional foundations
Assist with Grant writing/editing as needed
 
Salary range:  $70K -$75K 
Hours:  Full Time  position   
Location: Remote work, occasional in person evening and weekend meetings required
