Vanessa Scherstrom joined KEEN Greater DC as Special Events and Fundraising Manager in September 2026, bringing more than 20 years of nonprofit experience to the team. In this role, she supports the planning and execution of fundraising events, including KEENFest and the KEEN Golf Classic.
As her nonprofit career has progressed, Vanessa has sought to specialize in small local nonprofits hoping to support amazing community leaders who emulate the philosophy of thinking globally and acting locally.
Vanessa is a graduate of George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications. In her personal life, Vanessa is a self-proclaimed sci-fi and fantasy aficionado, and you may run into her at a renaissance fair or Comic-Con.
